West Point is a city in Davis County, Utah. It is a suburban community located right on the eastern coast of the Great Salt Lake. According to the United States Census Bureau of 2000, West Point has a population of more than 6,000 people. The city has a total area of 7.2 with a population density of over 800 people per square mile. It is located at high altitudes of over 4,000 feet above sea level.
